SIGHTS AND SOUNDS CONVENTION 2009!!!

The 2009 Convention and Trade Show was placed in the History Books at noon June 26, 2009.  Many of you express the opinion that this was the best convention to date.   The Association would like to thank all of the speakers for an outstanding job of presenting your subject matter.   We salute the vendors for another great turn out to provide an outstanding exhibit area.  Thanks to all of the Sponsors, Exhibitors and Advertisers for helping to make this convention outstanding.  Some of your are probably still laughing when you think of  Toni’s comedy routine.   Jim Rice and his crew done an outstanding job of decorating the banquet hall for the RRHAO GOT TALENT Banquet on Thursday evening.   Thanks Jim!!!   We hope each of you got a few laughs and took home some new idea’s that will make your job easier.   We put our hands together for all of those who participated in the talent show.  To all of our partners we say thanks and we could not make this event happen with out YOU.

The Directors will be reviewing this years event and will be selecting the location for the 2010 Convention very soon.   Your input gathered from the evaluation form will be a great help in that process.

The Convention kicked off with the opening of the exhibit area on Thursday morning:

RRHAO Director, Leon Farris presents the Dick Raupe Memorial Award to Robin Holland, Sierra Apts., Inc.. This Award is present to a person that has gone beyond the call of duty to help provide safe, sanitary and affordable housing to the rural residents of Oklahoma.   Congratulation ROBIN!!!

Toni had everyone rolling in the isles while presenting a 15 minute comedy routine at the Thursday evening banquet.   What a great time!!!

Over 100 persons stayed after the banquet and played bingo.   The association provided the prizes for 10 games of bingo.   Thanks to Robin Holland for doing the calling.

 

Over 200 attendees were on hand on Friday morning to hear Toni Blake delivery the Keynote Address entitled the Keys To Greatness.   You will note the audience is listening intently to Toni.

Toni Blake poses with the winner of the door prize that was drawn prior to the adjournment of the 2009 Convention.  This door prize was present by Rural Rental Housing Association of Oklahoma.  CONGRATULATIONS TO CHRISSY EDWARDS Site Manager for Great Plains Apts., Elm Grove Apts., & Eldorado Apts.   Chrissy’s smile indicates this made her trip to Tulsa very enjoyable.
